September holidays saw the lovely spring weather make its first appearance and with that our Vacation Care program got underway. The first week of the program had many great days such as Alice in Wonderland day, 80s& 90s day and British day just to name a few. These days saw both children and staff really get into the spirit and get dressed up for every occasion. It was just great seeing all the happy and bubbly faces having a fun time getting involved with the different activities. The first week saw us adventure out to the park to run off all our energy followed by going and seeing Small Foot at the movies. The kids got to experience a version of the Hunger Games right here at the centre!
Week two was a shorter week with everyone enjoying having the Monday off. The kids and staff again showed their creative skills in dressing up for each of the days. Oktoberfest saw some great outfits and activities alike. Baking a pretzel was a crowd favourite as was the strong man challenge. Wednesday of week two saw some whacky hair styles and some amazing dancing throughout the whole day. The big attraction of the day was being able to tie dye their own shirts to take home and wear at home. Week two we ventured down the M1 to Movie World and Sea World, this excursion was a highlight of the holidays for many of the kids and staff included. We got to see which kids loved the big scary rides at Movie World and the sea world group got to experience the wonderful animal shows and rides. These holidays were fantastic and we can’t wait for the next lot of holidays.
