Parent Testimonials
It is with much pleasure that I write a testimonial for the staff at FLOSC.
My family has been involved with FLOSC now since 2011, and we have not looked back ever since.
I have had 2 children at FLOSC since they have both been in Prep and this year we have one of our girls graduating Year 6. To say she is disappointed about not being able to attend after school care while being in High School is an understatement!!! She has even asked if she can just go there to hang out with the staff when she is at High School next year 🙂
As a parent, that reaction from your own child speaks volumes about how well the staff interact with the children at the facility. They have always been patient, considerate, accommodating and very professional with their dealings with all of the children at the centre.
I have also found them all to be approachable, knowledgeable, nurturing and interested in both of my girls progress both at school and with their extra curricular activities - for them to be able to remember year after year what each and every child does at that centre is a true testament to what the staff give to the children of the centre.
I may be a little bias, but I think Forest Lake State School has the best Outside Hours School Care in Brisbane and would not hesitate in recommending any of the new/existing families of the school to get their names on the list so their children can flourish in an ever exciting, fun filled family environment on school grounds!!!
I look forward to being able to spend the next 2 years with the FLOSC program, so that our youngest daughter can also flourish and move onto High School all the more better prepared because she has been looked after at Forest Lake Outside Hours School Care 🙂 🙂 🙂

My two boys have been attending Forest Lake OSHC since they each started Prep. I have found the staff to be very patient and caring, which was a big factor for when I was deciding where to take them.
The OSHC is conveniently located in the grounds of the school – so there is no need for anyone to drive them anywhere. The team at FLOSHC cater for a variety of activities. I especially like the encouragement for the kids to partake in outside play, something that I enjoyed when I was a child, and I’m glad my kids get to have that as well. Another added bonus is the use of the multi-purpose hall, so if it’s raining, there are still activities like playing basketball, skipping etc, which alleviates the cooped up feeling that kids can get.
It’s a very positive centre, with healthy snacks provided for afternoon tea, incentives for the kids such as earning “FLOSHC” dollars (which provides rewards such as choosing a movie or game for the kids), and excellent communication with parents (they have a great Facebook page and newsletter). I would certainly recommend this centre.

As a working family, we are so fortunate to have the wonderful team at FLOSC to look after the kids before and after school and during holidays. It is like a home away from home — actually you could say better than home because the activities they organise are amazing! The staff are motivated, approachable, professional and caring. From Grade Prep my daughter has felt comfortable and happy at FLOSC (she never wants to leave!) and next year I know my son will love it too.
